Else-Vet
Добавлен 1 июл 2014
The goal of this channel is to supply information wrapped in humor in the subject of small animal health. The videos are written, edited and narrated by a veterinarian who has at least a vague understanding of what he's talking about. The coverage of each topic is fact checked by a veterinary expert of the given field.
Stunning special effects... are not the main trait of this channel but their abscence will hopefully not lessen the value of the material too much.
Please keep in mind that the site intends to educate and not provide veterinary consultation on specific cases. You may, of course, ask questions relevant to the topic but diagnosing and curing your pet is the job of your veterinary practitioner! No amount of internet chat can replace a thorough examination and proper treatment based on its results!
I hope you'll find the videos entertaining and useful!
P.S.: Sorry for the occasional hunglish.

Love it. Your brilliant
Thank you for the video ! Very clear and informative
Excelent understanding🫡😻
So informative!
Currently studying for my parasitology exam and this was very helpful! Thank you for this great video.
I'm a current student and I study for various veterinary science competitions (Many of which I have won) and I love watching your videos as a way to cheat myself into studying on days when it is particularly hard to do it. Thanks for all the work you put into these videos, and for fact checking so I don't get screwed over! Keep it up!
I contracted Lyme in 2015 and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I couldn't walk, couldn't even lift my arm and I couldn't sleep because of the severe pain 24 hours a day. Lyme is horrendous. After a few weeks in hospital the doctor's told me that they couldn't do anything to help me and that my body would have to heal itself. After 3 months in in hell I was on the verge of taking my own life just to end the pain. What saved me was reading a book by Professor Buhner's called 'Healing Lyme' and followed his protocol to the letter. When I told the doctor's what I was going to do that they laughed at me. But what else was I supposed to do? It was a very slow process because first you have to reboot your immune system and second you have to fight the bacteria of which actually hides from your immune system - known as 'pathogenic bacteria'. What is different about the Lyme bacteria to other bacteria is that it eats the magnesium in your body whereas most bacteria eat iron. Without magnesium your muscles can't work. Little by little I began to improve but I won't lie, it was the fight of my life. All in all it took about one year for all the symptoms and the pain to stop. Only then could I begin to build up my strength again. Today, 2024, I play golf and I am a 8 handicap. If I ever contracted Lyme againI don't think I could go through it again and would probably just end my life. That's how vicious it is. For anyone reading this who has Lyme - don't give up - your body can kill it. It takes a special diet, special herbs and sheer will power. It will be the fight of your life but if you want your life back that is what you must do.
😂❤❤❤❤
Great video. I appreciate the recap you added at the end. Many people that make videos don’t consider a recap.
My dog ate my cats shit once and got toxoplasmosis. What really happens is the parasites swell the brain to a level where the animal is not thinking properly and puts themselves in danger. Luckily my mother’s friend was a veterinarian who specialised in toxoplasmosis and she noticed the symptoms straight away. What happened was he randomly started screaming and running around. He was in pain. Usually the tests for toxoplasmosis cost a lot of money. Money we did not have. So we were lucky to have someone who knew. We saved him and he lived along a nice life. He is a German shepherd x husky and his height did get stunted, but we are lucky to still have him.
This is hilarious 😂
So good..thank you
It was fun watching this😂 and i got it too😌
Perfect explanation 🎉🎉🎉
so clever! hahaha
😂😂😂😂😂😂 this was Great Needed the laughs
There is a joke about the parasite.........naahh there is no joke ......!!😂 Got me....!!
Thank you for explaining this. I got this also on my arm. It's ok now. Been months with it. Luckily I'm fine. Got a weird treatment from the local community - mulled up animal gal bladder. They use chicken gall bladder too. Very gross but. I'm getting marginally better. Been 3 months now. Still on my arm.
Tablet antiparasitics (internal) such as Lotinaler, Sarolaner, Afoxolaner, are considered anti-mite ( Credelio for dogs and cats, Simparica for dogs, Nexgard spectra for dogs, Bravecto for dogs, Stronghold plus for cats I think works as well)
due to the amount of potential intermediate hosts, it sounds like spouse of impregnated (or pre-pregnated) woman would be just as beneficial to test as cat
Thank you for this. I feel less stressed now since I definitely don’t eat fleas.
I found out months after going to colombia. I started having severe cystic acne, and doctors had no idea why. My lymph nodes in my neck got bigger, and i was sent to a specalist where they found it in my blood!! I most likely got it from eating something in Colombia. After 6-7 months, it went away after i was told no medication and to let my immune system handle it. I had this in 2014.
Latent toxoplasmosis is not asymptomatic. Thank catnuts for giving you decreased reaction time and general cognitive performance. Oh, and it’s permanent! 😂
And that's why they use ivermectin for Ms and lupus because it's a pesticide..
So it's really MS AND THE BULLSHIT REST .MS IS TOXOPLASMOSIS. FACT
I like the delivery method of the videos 😂
Imma watch this again the before my exam, cuz it does a good job than going through notes
Who's in 2024?? Huhu this VIDEO must have millions of views🎉❤
Did anyone else notice bicycle pump at the end?😅
❤
So, if you have a good immune system, you are worse off?
I really learnt a lot watching this video. I had 2 miscarriages because of toxoplasma
I think I have Leishmaniasis.
How on earth these videos are missed ? Well done Else vet . I am a veterinarian and I would like to ask you how you are actually making those animation? Super good LUCK from Morocco
Oh maaaaan. I love this 🤩
Cool edit
You have a talent that i wished every person that speaks possessed. I'm gonna go ahead and subscribe, which i never do.
Wtf?😂 , this is hilarious and well-made
I had a friend who had no cats or dogs. It got it from a goat they kept. Her 2 brothers and parents never had any problem. She has 2 miscarriages . After that they found it by a blood test. Cured and had a baby girl and later a boy by now in their 30s
I wish I'd listened to this before bed last night. After a night of no sleep, tearing my hair out while my cat went round and round all night from litter box to jumping on my head.
Please upload more videos. Thank you.
I have been studying for years ... DEAR ME!! 😂never seen/heard anything like this before....hilarious / fab .... thanks ...well done

This is a great video for kids & even old kids. Thank you.
Sir u r the king of annoyance
Sometimes it can take years. One man it California broke out with rabies. When transported to the hospital, doctors found out that 7 years ago, he was bitten by a rabid dog. he passed away one week later.
I have a 3yo boy cat named Bean with FIC. After having him unblocked he re-blocked one month later to a full blockage. This happened on a weekend when his normal vet was closed. I took him to a local ER where they wanted 3k just to unblock him and send him to his normal doctor the next day. His bladder was not large but had a hard gritty mass the size of a walnut that could be easily felt with your fingers. Could also see the bottom of his plug protruding. They opted to put him down and I told them that was not an option. I franticly called around to larger nearby cities and got him in a few hours later to get unblocked and had a PU done by a specialist for 4k total. Recovery was terrifying but we made it. Prescribed him Purina UR dry the only one he liked. went 4 months without issues till one day after being gone 1 week 2 months in a row for work training, he had another episode. I had my mom come over and scoop the box ect while i was gone. Made the switch to RX wet food just to find out he is allergic to chicken. Did you know pretty much all wet and dry rx food contains chicken?? So not many options for us. The Purina UR dry is the only option. So, I now feed him Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach Duck food. He loves it. Got him a buddy a new male kitten. The first 11 days were stressful and now about a month later I am seeing it start to occur today. I have peace of mind and believe it’s from the new pet even though they are inseparable now :). Last episode I had him pee in a lab kit and no bacteria or crystals were found. Just lots of blood etc.. I called back to the first vet who unblocked him and asked for the urinalysis report. They never tested for crystals and prescribed hills CD. I had to take him to the ER mentioned earlier a week later because he developed a UTI cause the first vet did not give antibiotics after catheter placement. They tested for everything including crystals, no crystals found. Too early for the diet to work. The diet is useless unless they have a crystal issue. FIC cats don’t need RX but should be feed wet food mainly. I read a long study on these diets’ vs control group, pretty one sided for the hills as they put about 1/4th the cats on hills and mainly wet food. 1 of the 2 on hills cd dry had a recurrence 1 week later. 50/50 same as the control group. Study shows promise for wet food with good natural ingredients aka rat in a can. Researched the hell out of this as Bean is family to me. I've spent thousands and now my boys both have pet insurance. But to be noted for Bean this is a pre-existing condition not covered. Male cat with FIC needs a PU hands down. He will be dealing with this his whole life and that’s what will make him pull through every time. Needs to be done by a specialist too. I noticed episodes after the PU clear up 3 to 4 days after blood appears. Keep a lab kit on deck just to cover your bases and give them only wet food while recovering. Lots of love for our feline family members!!
